Exclusive Rehab

Private Rehab with Luxury Accommodations

WHAT IS EXCLUSIVE REHAB?

The majority of people who attend rehab for drug and alcohol addictions attend government-sponsored clinics and facilities. Rehab is about making a serious commitment to changing one’s life. Individuals who cope with addiction often deal with other challenges and co-morbidities such as depression, eating disorders, and problems maintaining their employment. They will often find their addiction eventually impacts every aspect of their lives including their relationships with colleagues, friends, partners, and their extended family members.

There are certain private rehab facilities for people who can afford them, and they have been described as “luxury rehab”. Individuals who have the income to support private rehab are far less likely to check into a government facility.

There are several reasons for this:

  • If they are a well-known individual, they prefer a higher level of privacy in an exclusive rehab
  • In addition to their privacy, they prefer to receive services and amenities which are commonplace for their daily lives
  • If they need to continue conducting business but require privacy and confidentiality

Exclusive rehab also offers a level of service and personal attention unavailable in the non-profit sector. Government-funded services tend to be basic albeit effective. In the private sector, in-patient programs attend to the individual in ways that transform rehab into more of a wellness spa or retreat. In fact, many of them are named wellness centers so as not to reduce the stigma some might feel when coping with addiction issues.

These services provide far fewer rooms, and many of them (if not all) are private rooms with ensuite bathroom facilities. For the people who attend these centers, there is more of a feeling their entire selves are being taken care of, and not just their struggles with addiction.

Some of the luxurious items found in an exclusive, private rehab facility are:

  • Mindfulness meditation
  • Nutritional counseling
  • Fitness counseling
  • Specially prepared gourmet meals
  • State of the art facilities with beautiful private rooms and adjoining baths

WHO GOES TO EXCLUSIVE REHAB AND WHY?

COSTS, AMENITIES, AND WHAT THEY ACCOMPLISH:

  1. WHAT DO THEY ACCOMPLISH? In essence these centers do exactly the same thing as the non-profit rehab centers. They target the same issues – the need for medical detox withdrawal and support to adopt a life-long healthy lifestyle. The primary differences are the array of programs offered, the luxuriousness of the facilities, and the cost. Private facilities cost an enormous amount of money. Fees for a stay at an exclusive rehab center are in the range of $30,000 - $100,000 U.S. That is for a one-month stay. It is certainly valid to ask why private rehab is so expensive. However, the answer is easy. Plush rooms, expansive grounds, equine therapy, massage therapists, yoga teachers and one-to-one counseling is very high-end. The facilities spend a lot of money to maintain such facilities, and of course, they need to recoup their costs.

One of the greatest benefits to private, luxury care is the personalization of services. Furthermore, if you’re paying $100,000, you expect to enter immediately and with complete confidentiality and discretion.

Another benefit to private rehab is the length of stay. Government-funded rehab can usually only afford to offer someone 30 days of in-patient treatment, whereas private facilities can offer up to 90 days of treatment.

Of course, there are other benefits to staying at a luxury rehab facility:

    • The surroundings are more pleasant – rooms are beautifully designed alongside plush garden facilities and other well-designed spaces
    • Holistic services – they are more likely to be able to afford yoga instructors, meditation counselors, and gourmet chef
